Due to the current sanitary crisis, the world of trade fairs has been completely disrupted. While some are choosing to go digital, others prefer to postpone until 2021, hoping for better conditions next year.
The COVID-19 sanitary crisis has profoundly disrupted the organization of the numerous trade fairs, privileged meeting places for companies, seeking to expand its network and develop new commercial opportunities. For this reason, Surfeo continues to integrate trade shows into its commercial strategy.
Thus, the BE 4.0 trade fair initially planned for 17 and 18 November in Mulhouse was targeted by Surfeo. This show, which specializes in the industries of the future, has decided to postpone the 2020 edition to November 2021. BE 4.0 brought together more than 250 players of the industry 4.0, including many start-ups and creators of innovations that Surfeo could have met directly. We will therefore be present for the 2021 edition, always on the lookout for innovative companies and players in this promising sector!
At the same time, Formnext, which specializes in intelligent industrial production, such as additive manufacturing and 3D industrial printing, has also decided to go digital. The exhibition will therefore be held entirely online from 10 to 12 November. Surfeo will still be able to get in touch with the 150 exhibitors at the show and will thus be able to continue its prospecting activity despite the current difficult conditions!
The choice of these tradeshows is not random. On the contrary, they were attentively chosen because they reflect promising sectors for the coming times. Indeed, the industry 4.0 is in full development, with the 4th industrial revolution underway. Industry 4.0 represents the digitalization of companies and the transformation of the production methods. It includes technologies and innovations related to IoT such as augmented reality, 3D printing and artificial intelligence. Surfeo is thus already positioned in this future-oriented market.
Even if the contact with companies from this market can only be done digitally for now, the networking with the exhibitors of the BE 4.0 trade fair was a success, and Surfeo’s business development strategy remains unaffected. Finally, despite the current health crisis, the industry 4.0 continues to develop strongly, capturing more than 40% of global investments. In Europe, the industry 4.0 is now valued at $24 billion, compared to $20 billion in the United States.
